The Kids are Alt-Right: Some Advice for Dave Rubin Phil Torres @xriskology I like Dave Rubin and his show The Rubin Report. I appreciate his efforts to foment discussion between people with different ideological leanings. But I'm also worried
Well beyond your clearly regressive call to no platform people you don't agree with by poorly equating them to flat earthers which is a stupid conflation between science and politics. You also promote a disgustingly arrogant attitude towards the "intelligence" between political views by using IQ statistics in the same way that white supremacists use IQ statistics to promote the idea that they're the superior race. Because if you really want to use your argument to prove you're superior you also have to concede the race argument.

But even your blatant IQ supremacy argument is purely based on cherry picking sensationalist headlines and studies, I can easily do the same.

Study showing Tea Party members are more scientifically literate than non Tea Party members:
politico.com/story/2013/10/tea-party-science-09...

Study showing conservatives having a higher IQ
sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S01602896...

Study showing Republicans have higher verbal intelligence than Democrats:
sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S01602896...

Romney voters had higher IQs than Obama voters:
unz.com/isteve/romney-voters-had-higher-iqs-tha...

Besides, all of these studies tend to be filled with confirmation bias and poor methodologies and are generally only used by clickbait sites. And that's not even going through the fact that a higher IQ does not have any bearing on political truths nor an ability to be in favor of facts.

I can also easily debunk some of the other cherry picked "studies" you posted. For example your wage gap "apples to apples" study of which you apparently could only find one of still ignores individual background and salary negotiations. And I find it funny how you tried to "debunk" Milo's stance on 2:1 female bias in STEM by saying it's only true in a "small number" of subjects, except these subjects are extremely broad subjects that almost completely encompasses STEM as a whole.

. By your own admittance through poor use of using single un-peer-reviewed studies and cherry picking studies that only support your data you're incapable of having an intellectual discussion grounded in facts and therefor you should be no-platformed from Allthink.

You are nothing more than a child who oversimplifies politics to the point where you can masturbate to your own made up pretend world where you're magically on the side of intelligence for posting shitty cherry picking data, you're the type of shithead who probably thinks Rationalia is a good way to run a country. You are an example of the Dunning-Kruger Effect and it's precisely arrogant children who can't grow up like you that make politics a tedious thing.

I'm not sure where to start about what's wrong with your response here. The authors of the 2-to-1 study confirmed to me that Milo is wrong. Go and actually read it for yourself, please. Otherwise, lord -- I don't have time to expose the other problems here. Let me just encourage you to think critically and always double-check what you find on the Internet. And no, it's not about deplatforming people you *disagree* with. Sheesh. Did you not read my article? It's about not platforming people with bad ideas in the first place. Big difference.

You also use the widely mocked "Doomsday clock" which has absolutely no scientific basis beyond wild conjecture. You claim Milo is an authoritarian for supporting a candidate who hates free speech when you are clearly calling for no-platforming, you oversimplify a difficult environmental issue to bullshit climate alarmism that would make Al Gore laugh his ass off (over an issue that Milo has never even once discussed on Rubin as far as i'm aware) and yet still use that as your grant claim that he's equal to a flat earther, and you already have proven yourself to not be a classical liberal despite your insistence you are. (And considering you don't even know the actual definition of classical liberal which is basically a classical variation of fiscal conservatism it again shows that you are nothing more than a living dunning-kruger effect)
